(Takehiko Bessho,dec. 1999), born Akira Bessho, was a Japanese professional baseball pitcher and manager who starred from 1942–1960, mainly with the Yomiuri Giants. A 2× Central League MVP and 2× Sawamura Award winner, he amassed 310 wins, a 2.18 ERA, 72 shutouts, and threw a no-hitter in 1943.
